Mariners Vs. Diamondbacks Final Score: Hector Noesi Rocked Again In 7-1 Loss

After taking two of three from the San Francisco Giants, the Seattle Mariners were back in the loss column on Monday night. The M's kicked off a three-game interleague series against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field by being blown out by a final score of 7-1.

Starting pitcher Hector Noesi kept his nightmare season rolling, as he was once again hit hard right out of the gate. Justin Upton hit an RBI single in the first inning, followed by sacrifice flies by Jason Kubel and Paul Goldschmidt that quickly made it 3-0 D-backs. Upton hit a sacrifice fly of his own in the third to tack on another run.

The Mariners scored their lone run of the evening in the top of the sixth, as Casper Wells hit an RBI double, but Arizona got the run right back in the bottom of the frame on another sacrifice fly, this time by Miguel Montero. Josh Bell added a two-out RBI single to make it 6-1.

The final Diamondbacks run came on an Aaron Hill solo homer in the bottom of the seventh. Although the Mariners recorded nine hits in the game (including two each from Wells, Dustin Ackley and Kyle Seager), they were just 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position.

Noesi gave up six runs (five earned) on nine hits and two walks over six innings of work. With the loss, he falls to 2-8 on the season.

The M's will try to bounce back and even things up on Tuesday.
