Mariners Vs. Padres Series Preview: TV Schedule, Probable Pitchers & More

The Seattle Mariners are trying to gain some momentum. Maybe they'll find it against the somewhat-terrible Padres.

Presswire

The Seattle Mariners had a true up-and-down series over the past few days. Kevin Millwood and five other M's pitchers combined to no-hit the Los Angeles Dodgers, but Seattle then promptly dropped the next two games of the interleague series.

The Mariners are hoping to fare better in their next interleague series against a Southern California opponent, as the San Diego Padres come to down for a three-game series at Safeco Field. The Padres have been simply abysmal this season, so the Mariners will be hoping to pick up what will hopefully be an easy series win.

TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers

On Tuesday, first pitch will be at 7:10 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on 710 ESPN. Seattle ace Felix Hernandez will make his return to the rotation after being scratched from his last start with back soreness. He goes up against Clayton Richard, who is 2-7 with a 4.58 ERA.

Wednesday's first pitch will be at 7:10 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on 710 ESPN. The 0-1 Jason Marquis takes the hill for the Padres, while the 2-6 Hector Noesi hopes to start turning around his disappointing season to date.

In the series finale on Thursday, first pitch will be at 7:10 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on 710 ESPN. The starting pitcher for the Mariners is yet to be determined, but the 2-6 Edinson Volquez will get the start for the Padres.
