Mariners Vs. Tigers Series Preview: Seattle Looks To Repeat Their Success Against Detroit

The Detroit Tigers will visit Safeco Field on Monday. The Mariners hold a 3-0 record against Detroit in 2012.

The Seattle Mariners came back to Safeco Field over the weekend and saw their losing streak stretch all the way to seven games before winning their series against the Minnesota Twins.

On Monday, the Detroit Tigers come to town. Just prior to the seven-game losing streak, the Mariners swept the Tigers at home and will continue to display their unexpected dominance over their opponents.

TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers

On Monday, the game will begin at 7:10 p.m. PT and will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can find the radio broadcast on 710 ESPN. The Tigers will send Doug Fister to the mound for the first time since he left the season opener with an injury. Seattle's Blake Beavan will have the start in search of his second win of the year.

Tuesday's first pitch will be at 7:10 p.m. PT and will be televised on ROOT Sports and MLB Network. You can find the radio broadcast on 710 ESPN. The M's draw a tough pitching matchup in this one, as Detroit ace Justin Verlander takes the hill opposite Kevin Millwood, who is 0-3 with a 5.34 ERA.

The series finale on Wednesday will begin at 7:10 p.m. PT and will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can find the radio broadcast on 710 ESPN. The Tigers will hive the start to rookie left-hander Drew Smyly, who is 1-0 with a 1.61 ERA. The Mariners will take to the field behind Jason Vargas, who has churned out the most consistent starts of anyone in the rotation this year not named Felix Hernandez.
