Mariners Vs. Twins, Game 2 Final Score: Felix Hernandez Hurls 1-Hit Gem In 7-0 Win

The Seattle Mariners had lost their last seven games heading into Saturday night's matchup with the Minnesota Twins. They snapped their losing skid in impressive fashion in a 7-0 victory behind staff ace Felix Hernandez.

Hernandez was one again on top of his game, holding the Twins to just one hit in eight innings of work. He allowed baserunners in just one inning, when he allowed a single and issued two walks in the top of the fourth.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the sixth inning, when Kyle Seager hit a two-run single. The M's added five more runs in the bottom of the seventh on a Brendan Ryan sacrifice fly, a two-run Ichiro Suzuki triple and a two-run Seager home run.

Steve Delabar came in for the ninth inning, retiring the side in order and combining with Hernandez for the 1-hit shutout.

The Mariners will attempt to take the series in the rubber game on Sunday.
