The Mariners have to be feeling great right now. They swept the Colorado Rockies and picked up an enormous series win against the first-place Texas Rangers. This next series might be even more important for the morale of the M's, however, as the Los Angeles Angels come to town for a big four-game series beginning on Thursday.
The Mariners are currently half a game ahead of the Angels in the American League West and they'll hope to keep the Halos in the cellar. It would be big for the Mariners to asset their dominance over the floundering team that just about everyone pegged as sure-fire playoff contenders before the year began.
TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers:
On Thursday, the first pitch will be at 7:10 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on ESPN 710. Dan Haren has been far better than his 1-5 record would suggest and he'll try to prove that as he takes the hill against the Mariners' most consistent pitcher, Jason Vargas.
Friday's game will begin at 7:10 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on ESPN 710. Ervin Santana will get the start against ace Blake Beavan, with both young pitchers looking for their third win.
Saturday's game will begin at 4:15 p.m. PT and the game will be televised nationally on FOX. You can catch the radio broadcast on ESPN 710. Jerome Williams has had a career revival and looks for his fifth win as he goes up against ace Felix Hernandez.
The finale on Sunday will start at at 1:10 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on ESPN 710. The Mariners will have their toughest task in this game, as Hector Noesi takes the hill for Seattle and hopes to avoid getting hit hard yet again, while the Angels will have C.J. Wilson on the hill.
