Mariners Vs. Rockies, Game 2 Final Score: Seattle Coasts To 10-3 Victory

Interleague play appears to be just what the doctor ordered for the Seattle Mariners. After shutting out the Colorado Rockies at home on Friday night, the M's took advantage of the storied Coors Field penchant for high-scoring affairs and rolled to a 10-3 win on Saturday afternoon.

The Mariners put a two-spot on the board in the top of the second with Kyle Seager's fifth home run of the year. Jesus Montero and Seager rapped out RBI singles in the top of the third to push the Seattle lead to 4-0. In the top of the fourth, starting pitcher helped out his own cause with an RBI single that drove in Brendan Ryan.

Seattle hung another crooked number in the top of the sixth with a two-run double by Dustin Ackley, followed by a two-run single from Casper Wells to make it 9-0 Mariners.

The Rockies scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI single by Jordan Pacheco and a home run by Wilin Rosario. The Mariners scored their final run of the game on a passed ball in the eighth inning.

Vargas picked up his fifth win of the year by giving up the three runs on five hits and a walk in seven full innings of work. Seattle will try to go for the sweep on Sunday.
