Mariners Vs. White Sox: Philip Humber Has Perfect Game Through 7 Innings

Philip Humber has taken a perfect game into the eighth inning in Seattle, striking out six and throwing 69 pitches so far. Munenori Kawasaki tried to bunt his way aboard in the sixth inning, but Humber was able to scoop it up and a soft toss to Justin Smoak beat Kawasaki by a step or two.

The White Sox offense has done their part, they have seven hits so far. Paul Konerko has a solo home run and an RBI single, and Seattle is leading 3-0. Humber is 0-0 so far this year and had a 1.69 ERA entering Saturday's game. The seventh inning is generally when these things start to fall apart, and Humber made ith through, so he has a decent chance at something special.
