The Seattle Mariners were shutout at Safeco Field for their home opener on Friday night by the Oakland Athletics. Despite the rough loss, the club is ready to take the field once again on Saturday and get back to winning.
The Mariners will turn to starting pitcher Hector Noesi to give them a quality start. The A's are scheduled to start Tom Milone, who was very impressive in his season debut, working eight scoreless innings.
As for the game at Safeco tonight, first pitch is set for 6:10 p.m. locally. That's 9:10 on the east coast for those of you out there. ROOT Sports Northwest will air the game live. 710 ESPN Radio will have the local coverage as well. The lineups for the game are yet to be released, although we'll likely see the usual suspects given it being the first Saturday night game of the season.
