Felix Hernandez Gets His Own Cheering Section At Safeco Field

As far as promotions go, the one the Seattle Mariners enacted on Monday was a no-brainer. We all know Felix Hernandez as King Felix, and now the Mariners intend to capitalize on his royal nickname. Felix will have his own King's Court each time he takes the field in Seattle, with discounted seats and t-shirts to boot.

Section 150, just behind the foul pole down the left field line, will house the King's Court, according to a press release from the Mariners on Monday.

On days when Felix pitches, Section 150 will be known as the King's Court. Tickets will be specially priced at $30, and each ticket comes with a King Felix T-shirt. Tickets will be $34 when purchased on the day of the game. Tickets in that section are normally $40 ($45 for prime games).

Tickets go on sale about a week in advance of Felix's home starts. Not a bad way to try and fill seats at Safeco, which clearly needs a ticket boost right now.
