Carlos Peguero hit one of the more powerful home runs I've seen in a while last night as the Seattle Mariners took on the Minnesota Twins. In the sixth, Peguero stepped to the plate and stung a pitch straight down the right field line. It wasn't notable for how far it traveled, but instead deserves attention for just how fast it got out of the yard.
↵During the broadcast, the announcers mentioned Peguero's home run took just a shade over 2.75 seconds from impact to landing. And it was hit on a rope.
