Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch briefly left Sunday's 58-0 victory over the Arizona Cardinals due to back tightness before returning to rumble in for his third touchdown.
Lynch, who compiled 128 and three touchdowns on just 11 caries, had the luxury of resting for the entirety of the game after his third score with the game being so out of hand. In his place, rookie backup Robert Turbin (20 rushes, 108 yards) was able to set a new career-high in yardage and attempts.
While this injury news is a bit scary due to the fact that Lynch has been dealing with his troublesome back all season, it should be seen as an encouraging sign that head coach Pete Carroll allowed him to return when Seattle was already up 31-0. Lynch should be given his usual early week rest in practice before receiving a full workload against his former team, the Buffalo Bills, this coming Sunday.
