Oregon State tailback Jovan Stevenson ran for a career-high 99 yards in Saturday's game against Arizona, but he also removed himself from the game in the fourth quarter after experiencing dizziness.

Head coach Mike Riley on Sunday indicated that the Beavers sophomore may not be able to start this coming week's game against BYU, Via Paul Buker at the Oregonian.

Buker reports that Stevenson was not showing signs of a concussion on Sunday, but that the team was following concussion protocols, and that Riley is uncertain what Stevenson's status will be by Tuesday's practice time.

Malcolm Agnew, the Beavers freshman who rushed for 223 yards in the season opener against Sacramento State, has been unavailable since that game due to hamstring issues. Riley indicated that Stevenson's uncertain status may result in Agnew practicing on Tuesday in his place.

This may potentially be a troubling issue for OSU, as Stevenson played a key part in OSU's come-from-behind victory over the Wildcats. Coaches will be monitoring his status closely over the coming week.

The Oregon State Beavers looked to get their first win of the season with the Arizona Wildcats in town on Saturday. The game featured a series of runs by each team but ultimately ended in a 37-27 victory for the Beavers.

The two teams started off on equal ground and remained that way through the end of the first quarter, with neither squad scoring a single point. The second quarter, however, was dominated by the Beavers as Oregon State racked up 27 points. The Beavers entered halftime with a 27-6 lead.

Arizona made its run in the second half. The Wildcats used back-to-back scores in the second period- one by the offense on three-yard 13-yard run by Keola Antolin, the other by the defense on a 28-yard pick-six of Oregon State's Sean Mannion- to cut the lead to 30-20. An early score in the fourth quarter brought the Wildcats even closer, bringing them within one possession at 30-27.

The Beavers, though, proved that they could finish games by using a four-minute drive to score on a two-yard pass from Mannion to Joe Halahuni. The 37-27 lead was threatened by a late Wildcats drive that saw Arizona poach to the Beavers one-yard line, but the defense came up with a goal-line stand that ended Arizona's chance at the game.

Mannion finished the game with 267 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions on 32-of-41 passing. Running back Jovan Stevenson recorded 99 rushing yards and one touchdown on 17 carries while Markus Wheaton led Beavers receivers with 54 yards on six receptions.

The Beavers clinched their first win of the season and improve to 1-4 on the season, also sporting a 1-2 record in the Pac-12. The Beavers take on the BYU Cougars (3-2) next weekend on the road.

The Oregon State Beavers saw a bit of their 18-point halftime lead against the Arizona Wildcats slip away in the third quarter, but they still ended the period on top with a 30-20 lead. The Wildcats will have possession to start the fourth quarter.

Arizona returned the second-half kickoff, but fumbled the ball away just five plays later. Oregon State punted the ball back after going 3-and-out, but Arizona again gave the back to the Beavers when Wildcats quarterback Nick Foles threw in an interception. The Beavers did capitalize on the turnover this time and scored on a 20-yard field goal by kicker Trevor Romaine.

Then the Wildcats started mounting their charge back into the game. Arizona pieced together an 83-yard drive and scored a 13-yard rush by Keola Antolin (plus a two-point conversion), and the Wildcats defense followed up by intercepting Beavers quarterback Sean Mannion at the Oregon State 28-yard line and returning the ball for a touchdown. The lead was cut to 30-20.

The Beavers had a chance to knock in another field goal with 1:24 left in the quarter, but Romaine missed a 42-yard attempt and gave the ball back to the Wildcats. Arizona will begin the game's fourth quarter on its own 34-yard line.

The Oregon State Beavers got the ball moving in the second quarter against the Arizona Wildcats and lead 27-6 at halftime. The two teams stood at a standstill through one quarter, locked at 0-0, but a huge second quarter has allowed the Beavers to create some separation on the scoreboard.

Oregon State opened up the second quarter at the Wildcats 36-yard line and used a series of nine plays to get into the end zone. The drive was capped off by a one-yard rush from running back Jovan Stevenson.

On Arizona's next possession, Oregon State struck again. Beaver Clayton York Arizona's punt with 8:56 to go in the period and returned it 41 yards for the score.

Arizona responded behind the arm of quarterback Nick Foles, who passed five times over the course of a seven-play drive as he led his team down the field. Foles found Dan Buckner for a 28-yard score, but kicker Alex Zendejas- who missed a 38-yard field goal attempt in the first quarter- missed the extra point.

The Beavers scored a 37-yard field goal afterwards, and the picked off Foles at Arizona's 39-yard line to set up another scoring opportunity with 2:21 to play. Beavers quarterback Sean Mannion connected with Joe Halahuni on a three-yard pass.

But Oregon State wasn't done yet. Arizona fumbled on the ensuing kickoff, and kicker Trevor Romaine punched in a 40-yard field goal to cap off the Beavers' successful quarter.

The Beavers enter halftime with a sizeable 27-6 lead. Arizona will start the second half with possession by receiving the second-half kickoff.

The Oregon State Beavers and the Arizona Wildcats are dead even at 0-0 after one quarter of play. The Beavers started out the game on a negative note but have since fought their way back.

Oregon State began the game with possession but turned it over on the third play from scrimmage when quarterback Sean Mannion was picked off deep in Beaver territory. The Wildcats, however, could not convert as kicker Alex Zendejas missed a 38-yard field goal attempt.

Both teams struggled offensively for the rest of the period until the Beavers got possession back with 5:36 to play. The team has since driven from deep in its own territory (starting at the eight-yard line) to Arizona territory and starts the second quarter with some momentum.

Mannion will have to do a better job of avoiding turnovers if the Beavers want to come away with their first win of the season. The Beavers have a shot to strike the game's first blow with a score in the early part of the second quarter.

Will the Beavers be able to come away with their first victory against the Wildcats this weekend?

The Oregon State Beavers have a big opportunity this weekend as they welcome in the Arizona Wildcats to town. UA has just one victory this year -- and it came against Northern Arizona, a Big Sky Conference opponent -- and are banged up on both sides of the ball. For an OSU team that seemingly had everything go wrong in September, this is a solid chance to get back on the right foot.

Here is everything you will need to get ready for this weekend's Pac-12 showdown:

Kickoff: 12:30 p.m. (PDT)

Previous Matchup: Oregon State pulled the huge upset last season in Tucson. The Beavers defeated the No. 9 ranked Wildcats with a score of 29-27.

Weather Report: It should be a beautiful day for football in Corvallis. Sunny skies, expect game time temperatures to be in the mid-60's. The chance of rain is down to just 20% and should not hit the area until late Saturday evening.
