British Open Odds: Kyle Stanley And Troy Kelly Longshots

The 2012 British Open will not feature Ben Crane, as he was a reserve alternate in case other golfers pulled out. Crane did get an opening, but ended up taking his name off the list when all was said and done.

Crane was probably the Seattle area's best chance at winning a major. Without him, that leaves two golfers with Seattle-area connections, neither of whom figure to do all that much this week. Both of them are huge underdogs compared to the regular establishment, so you might want to be careful at investing too much in either of them winning here.

According to this article from Bankroll Sports Picks, Kyle Stanley has 200/1 odds to win at the Bovada Sportsbook and 350/1 odds to win from 5Dimes. Troy Kelly fares even worse, getting 500/1 odds from Bovada and 1000/1 odds to win from 5Dimes. I guess if you're a big fan of making a couple of dollar picks here and there, this could end up being a solid proposition. Don't just expect to cash out unless some weird things happen this weekend at Royal Lytham.
