At the beginning of the third round in the 2012 U.S. Open on Saturday, Jim Furyk, Tiger Woods and David Toms all held the lead at 1-under. At the end of play in the third round, Furyk still had a share of the lead, but both Woods and Toms had fallen drastically.
Furyk was at even par for the day to stay above the field at 1-under, while Graeme McDowell shot 2-under in his third round to join Furyk at the top of the leaderboard. Woods shot 5-under for the day and is in a tie for 14th place at 4-under, but still within five strokes of the lead in case he has one more terrific round left in him.
Toms, meanwhile, shot 6-over for the day and is in a tie for 18th place.
