2012 U.S. Open Leaderboard: Tiger Woods Tied For Second, Kyle Stanley At +3

Tiger Woods had one of those remarkable days, avoiding disaster and getting birdies on 4, 5 and 17 to stay under-par for the majority of his first round of the 2012 U.S. Open. Woods is in a comfortable position going into the second round, as he's one of only six golfers currently standing under par after Thursday.

Among Pacific Northwest golfers, no one has broken par among the group. Kyle Stanley went +3, finishing with six bogeys and three birdies. Casey Martin is currently on the golf course and struggling early, going four-over through five holes. Nick Sherwood is struggling heavily, currently situated at fourth-to-last place at +8. Ben Crane just teed off, so he'll have the best shot to make some noise among these guys.
