The 2012 U.S. Open has been playing as it was billed, as one of the toughest tests of golf. A few players have poked through the par barrier, led by Brandon Grace and Kevin Na sitting at 2-under, while a slew of players remain right behind them including Tiger Woods
Asdie from Na and Grace, six other players find themselves in red numbers at the moment, though more than half the field is yet to tee of still. But all eyes are on TIger Woods, who began the day very well.
Woods has been steady so far on his round today, using a lone bogey on the par-4 14th as well as a short-putt birdie on the par-5 17th to leave himself at even par for he tournament. His playing partners have not fared as well though as Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson have stumbled hard out of the gate, both firing 4-over on their first nine of the tournament.
