Masters Golf Tournament 2011 Leaderboard: Fred Couples, Ryan Moore Have Solid First Round Starts

Fred Couples is off to a solid start at The Masters, navigating the front nine of Augusta National at 1-under. Ryan Moore did him one better, and currently sits at 2-under through 13 holes, four shots off the pace set by Rory McIlroy, but tied for ninth. Scoring is there to be had and the Masters leaderboard reflects it as 51 players currently sit at par or better in the first round.

McIlroy’s opening round 65 has him leading in the clubhouse, three shots clear of Matt Kuchar and Charl Schwartzel. Kuchar is in the clubhouse with a first round 68 while Schwartzel is on hole No. 17. Tiger Woods is also under par and on the green at No. 18 in two, sitting at 1-under for a day after an up-and-down round that’s seen the former world No. 1 scramble to score. Sergio Garcia is also lurking at 4-under through 16.

The television broadcast has commenced on ESPN and live streams can be found at The Masters website for those not near a television. Coverage runs until 4:30, with an encore set for 5 p.m. on ESPN. The latest leaderboard can also be seen at The Masters website.
