The Oregon State Beavers have expanded their lead to 17-10 over the 19th-ranked UCLA Bruins going into halftime on Saturday afternoon at the Rose Bowl. The Beavers are trying to ride a strong performance from quarterback Sean Mannion to their second consecutive victory over a ranked opponent.
Mannion has looked as good as ever against UCLA, completing 15-of-22 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Markus Wheaton is the Beavers' leading receiver with five catches for 117 yards and a touchdown, but Brandin Cooks is right behind him with three catches for 113 yards and a touchdown.
Oregon State's defense, meanwhile, has bottled up the Bruins' rushing attack so far. UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley has completed 10 of 15 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown, but the team has combined to rush 18 times for just 46 yards, an average of 2.6 yards per carry.
