The Daily 12-PAC: PAC-12 News Through The Eyes Of The Pacific Northwest

We're baaaaackkk. After a little getaway in Las Vegas we are back at it this week bringing you the college football news you crave about the teams you love. Williams Aiming To Raise The Bar

Washington Huskies WR Kasen WIlliams, statistically speaking, had the second-best season of any freshman wide receiver in UW history, as noted in this piece by Bob Condotta.

As Bob points out, though the season is respectable from a historical standpoint, the taste many Dawg fans have in their mouth tells a different story. U-Dub fans were hoping Williams would have made a similar impact to what Robert Woods or Marqise Lee did their freshman seasons down at USC,, or what Marquess Wilson did at Wazzu.

That being said, Williams has enormous potential, and is still capable of realizing it before his time in Seattle is complete. And relatively speaking, he already is well on his way to doing so when compared to those freshman wideouts of the past.

Oregon O-Line Could Be A Strength

We are partial to offensive linemen here at The DTP, so any time there is a good story on them, we jump on it. This is one on Oregon's offensive line and the promise it's showing this spring.

The Ducks already are returning 3 starters along the front five from last season, and as Aaron Fentress points out, are finding some quality depth that will allow them to make the O-line a position of strength in 2012. A good chunk of the depth will come from the heralded 2011 recruiting class.

Fentress also revisits the line of 2008 in the piece - which featured a player Seahawks fans will know well, Max Unger.

Ryan Leaf's Saga About More Than Football

This weekend the Seattle Times ran an in-depth feature by Danny O'Neil on Ryan Leaf and his history of off-the-feild struggles. It was an incredible piece, that in some ways, tugged on our heart a little bit.

O'Neil details Leaf's highs as a football player and his lows as an addict, and everything in between. We often play the YouTube clip in our minds of Leaf yelling at a reporter as our memory of him, but O'Neil's piece reminds us there is so much more - good and bad - to the ex-Washington State star QB.

OSU Spring Practice Week 1 Recap

Oregon State concluded its first week of spring practices, and Cliff Kirkpatrick summarizes the first three practices in this article.

The first week of spring practice at any school usually features a lot of installation, which was the case in Corvallis. But coach Mike Riley is pleased with the execution of what has been put in thus far and that's a good thing for the undermanned Beavers. They are managing the lack of depth well, and so far all seems to be going smoothly.
