The Cal Golden Bears will travel to Corvallis to take on the Oregon State Beavers at Reser Stadium on Saturday in a Pac-12 Conference game.
The Beavers (7-2, 5-2 Pac-12) are in desperate need of a win after dropping two of their last three games. They made history by starting the season 6-0 for the first time in 105 years, but have lost the momentum of that hot start. A game against the Golden Bears (3-8, 2-6 Pac-12) gives them the opportunity to do just that as they will face Oregon a week from Saturday in an effort to spoil their rival's championship hopes.
The Beavers will look to neutralize the Golden Bears' running game led by C.J. Anderson, who has 729 yards on the ground and four rushing touchdowns. To counter that, Oregon State quarterback Sean Mannion will likely put pressure on Cal's porous defense early and often in an effort to establish an early lead.
Cal is just 1-3 on the road, while Oregon State is 4-0 at home. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network, and kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. PT.
