The Oregon State Beavers have a chance to claim sole possession of second place in the Pac-12 North standings with a win over the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday in Palo Alto.

No. 11 Oregon State (7-1, 5-1 Pac-12), who lost their first game of the season in Week 9, bounced back with a 36-26 win over the Arizona State Sun Devils last Saturday . The Beavers need a big game from quarterback Cody Vaz, who will be relied upon to supply much of the team's offense through the air as the Cardinal boast the nation's top rushing defense.

The No. 14 Cardinal (7-2, 5-1 Pac-12) are coming off a 48-0 demolition of the lowly Colorado Buffaloes in Week 10. Led by redshirt freshman quarterback Kevin Hogan, who started in place of struggling senior signal caller Josh Nunes, was able to maul the FBS' worst defense. Hogan threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the win, and has been named the Cardinal's starter for Saturday's clash with the Beavers.

The Cardinal are a 4.5-point favorite and over/under is currently set at 44.5 for Saturday's game, according to OddsShark.com.

Kickoff for the Pac-12 showdown is scheduled for noon PT at Stanford Stadium and the game will be televised on FOX.
