At 5-0, the Oregon State Beavers have risen to No. 8 in the BCS poll and they will now attempt to remain undefeated when they host the Utah Utes on Saturday.

Oregon State is coming off of a 42-24 road win against BYU and will play just its third home game of the season. The Beavers are averaging 34.6 points per game in three road contests this season, but scored just 29 points total in their two home games.

After making his season debut last week and playing well, Cody Vaz will once again start at quarterback for the Beavers. Vaz completed 20-of-32 passes for 332 yards and three touchdowns against BYU. With Vaz leading the way, Oregon State racked up 450 offensive yards. The Beavers are averaging 338.0 passing yards per game this season, which is good for the eighth most in the country.

The Beavers will face a Utah offense which has struggled this season. The Utes have lost three straight games and are averaging just 22.3 points per game. After rushing for 1,519 yards last season, John White has gained just 345 yards in six games this season. He averaged 4.8 yards per carry and scored 15 touchdowns a year ago, but has scored just once this season with his average dropping to 3.9 per carry.

Oregon State opened as a 7-point favorite, according to OddsShark.com. Utah has won the last two meetings, including a 27-8 victory last season.
