Both the Oregon Ducks and Oregon St. Beavers finished in the top 15 in the BCS standings making them eligible to be in BCS bowl games as at-large teams. The Ducks are most likely to get an at-large berth and are projected to head to the Fiesta Bowl. But the Beavers are unlikely to head to a BCS game and will instead be reverted to one of the second-tier bowl games.
It was previously reported that the Beavers should be headed to the Alamo Bowl to face the Texas Longhorns. Both teams have been fringe elite teams all season and it would make for an intriguing matchup.
If Oregon goes to the Fiesta Bowl, it will more than likely face the Kansas St. Wildcats. Both teams are linked to one another this season as they both loss in the same weekend that they were No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in the BCS standings. The Wildcats have a Heisman candidate at quarterback in Collin Klein and the Ducks have one of the most explosive offenses ever. It could be a good one.
