Bracketology 2012: Gonzaga Projected For High Seed, Washington On The Bubble

March Madness is right around the corner and two teams from the Seattle area have a legitimate chance to go dancing this year. While the Gonzaga Bulldogs have essentially guaranteed themselves a spot in the dance, the Washington Huskies are looking to sneak into the field of 68 with a strong end to their season.

The most recent mock projection for the NCAA Tournament has both teams in the mix. We'll take a look at seeding and some potential scenarios after the page jump...

According to Joe Lunardi of ESPN, his latest Bracketology update has Gonzaga as a No. 5 seed in the East Region. He projects Gonzaga to square off with Cincinnati in the first round, with the winner facing the winner of the Wisconsin-Washington/Miami game.

As for the Huskies, their recent success has propelled them to being the 68th team in the field. Washington would play Miami (FL) in the play-in game, with the winner going on to play Wisconsin in the first round. That would not be the easiest path to a tournament run, but all Lorenzo Romar and UW are looking for is a chance to showcase their abilities. The game against Arizona on Saturday will be huge for their March Madness hopes.
