Gonzaga ranked No. 25 in college basketball preseason rankings

The Bulldogs enter the season ranked No. 25 in the country by Athlon Sports.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs have been an annual participants in March Madness since Mark Few took over the program. With most of their team returning from last season, many feel the Bulldogs could be one of the best teams on the West Coast this year.

Athlon Sports recently released their preseason top 25 rankings. They have Gonzaga at 25, which seems a little low given their returning talent.

The key for the Zags will be replacing seven-foot big man Robert Sacre, who was the heart and soul of the program. Elias Harris enters his senior year and looks poised to be a potential All-American candidate. In the backcourt, Gary Bell, Jr. and Kevin Pangos should be solid scoring options on a nightly basis. If just one other player can emerge this year, it's tough to imagine Gonzaga losing many games.

Teams will officially begin practicing on Friday night. The regular season begins Nov. 9 as the Bulldogs take on Southern Utah.
