Gonzaga Vs. Michigan State Recap: Bulldogs Lose to Spartans, 74-67

The Gonzaga Bulldogs hosted the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday night, and wound up taking a 74-67 loss.

The No. 22 Gonzaga Bulldogs hosted the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday night and when all was said and done, wound up taking their second loss of the season. The Spartans prevailed by a final score of 74-67.

Michigan State held a slim 35-34 lead following the first half, but held on for a seven-point win. The star of the night was Draymond Green of the Spartans. The forward led all scorers with a whopping 34 points, also managing two rebounds, three assists and three steals. The next-highest scorer for Michigan State was center Adreian Payne, who finished with nine points.

The highest scorer for Gonzaga was guard David Stockton, who put up 19 points and just one rebound in only 22 minutes on the floor. Center Robert Sacre managed 16 points and seven rebounds, while guard Gary Bell picked up 13 points and three assists.

Gonzaga falls to 5-2 with the loss, while Michigan State improves to 8-2. Neither team has played a game within their home conference. Gonzaga's next game will be on Thursday, as they host the Oral Roberts University Golden Eagles December 15.
