Eastern Washington vs. Wagner 2012: TV schedule and game preview

The Eagles begin their journey through the FCS playoffs.

James Snook-US PRESSWIRE

Just two years removed from an FCS title, the Eastern Washington Eagles begin their quest to win another one. They will open the FCS playoffs on Saturday with a game against Wagner.

It's been an impressive season so far for Eastern Washington, as it has lost just twice, including a four-point defeat to Washington State.

The Eagles' opponent is Wagner, who has won nine straight games after losing its first three of the season. Wagner defeated Colgate, 31-20, last Saturday in the opening round of the FCS playoffs. In that win, the Seahawks had 245 rushing yards.

Aside from its recent playoff success, the biggest advantage Eastern Washington might have is playing at home. The Eagles have yet to lose in their stadium this season.

The player to watch for Eastern Washington is receiver Brandon Kaufman, who had 1,270 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns during the regular season.
