The Eastern Washington Eagles are storming back in the fourth quarter and we have ourselves a game in the FCS Championship. Needing a touchdown, the Eagles took care of business, driving 89 yards and 14 plays to make it a one-score game. The Eastern Washington defense has held in the second half after allowing Delaware to run all over them, setting up what looks to be a frantic fight to the end.
Bo Levi Mitchell again converted down the stretch, picking up crucial third downs, and even a fourth down, while moving the Eagles down the field. Mitchell found Nicholas Edwards in the back of the end zone from nine yards out to cap the drive with a score, bringing the Eagles to within six. After two and a half quarters of Delaware in control, Eastern should its propensity for late comebacks, scoring the last 13 unanswered points.
Mitchell did it all on the scoring drive as the Eagles never ran the ball. The Eagles threw 15-straight times, finally finding holes in the Blue Hen defense. Like he has during the playoffs, Mitchell has been clutch, somehow finding ways to make plays with the game on the line.
With just over five minutes to go, Eastern is within striking distance, trailing Delaware, 19-13. The Eagles do have the ball with the chance to take the lead after stopping Delaware on third down.
