The 2012 Associated Press preseason top 25 poll will be released Saturday morning and the Oregon Ducks are expected to be one of the top ranked teams.
Coming off a 12-2 season and with plenty of talent returning, Oregon is a lock to be among the top 10, but the question is how high can they rise. Oregon finished the 2011 season ranked No. 4 in the AP poll and it's a spot they may find themselves in to open 2012. They came in at No. 5 in the initial Coaches' Poll, not far behind Oklahoma.
The Ducks checked in at No. 4 and even received one first place vote in SB Nation's post spring football BlogPoll. Alabama, LSU and USC are considered the favorites heading into 2012 and will likely make up the top three in the AP poll in some order, but Oregon is not far behind.
The 2012 AP preseason top 25 poll will be released at 7:00 a.m. PT.
