The Oregon Ducks remained in the No. 2 spot as teams behind them fell by the wayside in the Week 7 Coaches Poll Top 25. The Ducks received a first-place vote, the only one not given to No. 1 Alabama, after their 52-21 drubbing of the Washington Huskies.
The Oregon State Beavers continue to move up after they won their fourth straight game to start the season on Saturday. The Beavers beat the Washington State Cougars, 19-6, in a battle surprisingly heavy on defense. This is the first time OSU has started 4-0 since the 2002 season.
Two other Pac-12 teams moved up in the rankings. USC jumped from No. 12 to No. 9 after Texas, Georgia, and Florida State all fell in front of them. Stanford moved up one spot to No. 17 after a thrilling overtime victory of the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday afternoon.
