Zduriencik is open to making moves, but is also going to be cautious at the meetings.

Zduriencik made sure to point out that the Mariners have spent some money on small signings already, and will need to spend more money with several players arbitration eligible, but he said "there is some room to try to do something." Zdurienick said he would be looking to add offense anywhere on the field if it is the right player and that he is always looking to improve pitching as well.

He said he wouldn't shy away from making a long term deal if it made sense and he also would be open to trading for players with one year left on their current contracts.

Last season the Mariners went 75-87 and finished in fourth place in the AL West Division.

The Seahawks rank third in total passing defense with 200.7 passing yards allowed per game.
