Few things in sports are harder than winning on the road. Winning a postseason game on the road is even tougher. So when the Seattle Seahawks head to Washington to take on Robert Griffin III and the Redskins on Sunday, one would think they would be underdogs.
That is not the case for coach Pete Carroll's bunch. According to Odds Shark, the Seahawks opened the week as 1 1/2 point favorites over Washington. Other betting sites, such as Bovada and Bet Online, have since moved the line up to three points.
In somewhat of a surprise, the over-under for points is set at 46. This past season, the two teams averaged about 53 combined points a week. Considering how hot these two offenses have been behind their rookie quarterbacks in recent weeks -- Seattle is averaging nearly 39 points a week on their current five-game winning streak -- this seems low.
Kickoff in Washington is set for 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon. FOX will televise the game live.
