Marshawn Lynch Injury: Seahawks Still Uncertain If Feature Back Will Play, Per Report

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is uncertain to play against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday due to back spasms. Lynch has struggled through the preseason with back spasms.

The result of losing the 5'11, 215-pound back puts more pressure on rookie quarterback Russell Wilson, and it bumps veteran back Leon Washington and rookie Robert Turbin up the depth chart. Washington had 53 carries for 248 yards with Seattle last season in a reserve role, and the Seahawks took Turbin in the fourth round to add depth to the running back position.

In a similar build to Lynch, the 5'10, 222-pound Turbin could have the most to gain if Lynch is out. He was taken out of Utah State with the idea he'd give coach Pete Carroll a similarly-styled back when Lynch is off the field. Turbin showed promise with 14 carries for 93 yards in Seattle's preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Aug. 24.
