Golden Tate Injury: Seahawks Receiver Out 'At Least 2 Weeks,' Per Report

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate, who suffered an injury to his right knee in the final preseason game against the Oakland Raiders, will not be ready in time for the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Danny O'Neil from the Seattle Times reported Tate was not practicing Monday and has a time table for the playmaker's return:

Tate's status is uncertain, though. Coach Pete Carroll did not answer questions after practice, and NFL teams do not release injury reports until Wednesday when playing on Sunday.

However, a source indicated Friday that Tate likely would be out at least two weeks with the knee injury. Expect Braylon Edwards to get more opportunities were Tate unavailable.

Tate, a third-year player out of Notre Dame, had 35 receptions for 382 yards and three touchdowns in 2011.
