Seahawks Injury Update: G James Carpenter Returns To Practice

The Seattle Seahawks are preparing for their Week 1 match-up with the Arizona Cardinals, and they got some good news on the injury front Monday as G James Carpenter was taken off the physically unable to perform list and placed on the active roster.

Carpenter returned to practice for the first time in 10 months after tearing his ACL. He spoke about his return, and his move from tackle on Monday, via KJR Seattle:

"I felt great," Carpenter said. "I’ve been waiting for 10 months to be back so I’m happy."

Carpenter was a right tackle when it got injured. Now he's returning as a left guard. It's a fit that Carpenter feels fits him well.

"I’m happy playing guard. I feel like that is where I should be playing," Carpenter said.

The 2011 first-round draft pick out of Alabama started the first nine games for Seattle last season before going down with the injury.
