The Seattle Seahawks offense has gone stagnant but is still holding on against the Green Bay Packers as they lead 7-6 at the end of the third quarter.
The Green Bay Packers finally got on the board with their first drive of the half. Aaron Rodgers drove the team 55 yards on 13 plays to get their first field goal of the half. The Packers would later kick a second field goal in the waning minutes of the quarter to cut the Seahawks lead to one.
Penalties have been a big problem for the Seahawks. They have had 11 penalties called for 90 yards. The referees have kept a ready lip on the whistle, as the Packers have seven penalties as well.
The Seahawks' defense was stellar in the first half, racking up eight sacks on Rodgers. The Packers offensive line stifled the pass rush in the third quarter though and the Hawks defense didn't make a dent. Rodgers had time and space to make the throws he needed to, but the Packers just can't cross the endzone.
The Seahawks seem content trying to drag out a win as painfully as possible. Running back Marshawn Lynch has more rushing attempts (19) than quarterback Russell Wilson has passing attempts (10). Lynch has rushed for 76 yards and Wilson has only thrown for 69 yards. The Seahawks only have 146 yards total offense.
