Packers Vs. Seahawks 1st Quarter Recap, Score: Defense Holds Strong, 0-0

Defense has reigned supreme between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks, as the teams enter the end of the first quarter scoreless at 0-0.

Rookie linebacker Bruce Irvin has a couple of sacks already, as the Seahawks defense has harried Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers into 5-for-7 for just 37 yards. Rodgers has been sacked three times in the first quarter, as the Packers have failed to score in the first quarter for the third straight game.

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is providing most of the Seahawks offense. He has six carries for 30 yards. The Packers defense has been mixing it up on rookie quarterback Russell Wilson, who has had to throw the ball away three times. Wilson is 4-for-7 for only 28 yards.

The two teams have combined for five drives resulting in five punts. Each team has three first downs, and both defenses are holding strong. Green Bay has been limited to just 38 yards on 12 plays and the Seahawks have garnered a total of 58 yards on 14 plays.
