2012 Tour Championship: Jim Furyk Takes Lead On Friday

With the start of the second round of the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, GA, Jim Furyk is making a strong charge on Friday.

Jim Furyk finds himself atop the leaderboard at 5-under after making four birdies in his first five holes of the day, taking the lead from Tiger Woods, Justin Rose and Matt Kuchar who are right behind him at 4-under for the week. Woods and Rose are set to tee off at 3:05 p.m. PT while Kuchar is on his second hole.

Robert Garrigus and Bo Van Pelt are 3-under for the tournament, while FedEx Cup points leader Rory McIlroy is tied with five others at 2-under for the week. Washington native Ryan Moore isn't far behind either, sitting at 1-under for the tournament after his first four holes on Friday.
