The Seattle Seahawks parted ways with 2011 fourth round pick Kris Durham on Friday, but was picked up by the Detroit Lions' practice squad on Sunday, according to a report from the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett.
A 6-foot-5, 216-pound wide receiver spent most of the 2011 season on the injured reserve list, but caught three passes in three games for the Seahawks during the preseason. He and Lions QB Matt Stafford went to the University of Georgia together and work out during the offseason when they are home during the summer.
receiver Patrick Edwards, linebacker Carmen Messina, offensive guard Rodney Austin, cornerback Ross Weaver and running back Stephfon Green have all been added to the Lions practice squad as well.
