Chris Hansen Toasts To Seattle Arena Agreement

Chris Hansen sure knows how to throw a party.

Just hours after Hansen struck a new, revised deal with a Seattle City Council committee to build a $490 million basketball and hockey arena in the Sodo District -- near both Safeco Field and CenturyLink Field -- the billionaire bought a round of beers for roughly 1,500 patrons at F.X. McRory's, a local bar and restaurant.

Hansen also provided a jovial toast to the raucous crowd.

"You guys made this happen, so thank you," Hansen said. "It’s a big milestone today. It’s been a long last three or four months trying to get this thing through … There’s no question that everyone from the NBA, to the politicians to fans around the country are looking at what’s going on here, and it’s a movement."
