Mariners Vs. Orioles Final Score: Kevin Millwood Roughed Up In 9-2 Loss

The Seattle Mariners were unable to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday as they dropped their second straight series. Starter Kevin Millwood was knocked around early as the Orioles cruised to a 9-2 win.

Matt Wieters continued to terrorize the M's as he hit a two-run RBI double in the bottom of the first inning to get the Orioles out to an early lead. J.J. Hardy and Wieters added another RBI each in the third inning to make it 4-0 and Baltimore never looked back.

Mark Reynolds and Nick Markakis hit home runs to make it 7-0 Orioles in the fourth inning. Kyle Seager hit his 13th home run of the year in the sixth inning, a two-run shot that finally got the M's on the board and counted for the entirety of their tally.

Wieters wasn't finished with Seattle, as he hit another double to drive in two more runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Millwood lasted just four innings, giving up seven runs on eight hits and a walk. Seattle will get a day to rest as they fly back to the West Coast to start a series against the Los Angeles Angels on Friday
