Sue Bird just starts at point guard for the best women's basketball team on the planet. She just goes about her business, drops five assists, plays 21 minutes, doesn't turn the ball over and takes one step closer to collecting yet another gold medal.
Yeah, being Sue Bird is pretty cool.
The Seattle Storm star and her Team USA teammates moved one step closer to their goal with an impressive victory over Canada, 91-48, in the quarterfinals of the London Olympics.
It was defensively where the team has taken its pride as the Americans forced 26 turnovers that led to fast break buckets and an easy win.
Diana Taurasi led Team USA with 15 points as five players scored in double figures.
The 48 points were the lowest total the women's team had given up since holding Slovakia to 43 points in a 2000 quarterfinal game.
The win was the 39th straight Olympic victory for the women's team.
