Team USA Basketball: United States Holds Off Lithuania In Fourth Quarter

Team USA basketball pulled out a victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating Lithuania by a score of 99-94. The U.S. trailed throughout most of the first half before rallying in the final minutes, and the two countries were tied as late as the third quarter.

LeBron James led the USA's rally in the fourth. He scored 13 of his 20 points in the final 10 minutes of competition, completely taking over with his size and athleticism. Carmelo Anthony added 20 points, while former Seattle SuperSonics rookie Kevin Durant went for 16.

Lithuania was led by Linas Kleiza, who led all scorers with 25 points. He also had five rebounds and three assists. Darius Songaila had a strong showing 11 points of his own.

The game was a bit closer than Team USA would have liked, but this could be a big step forward towards winning a gold medal next week.
