Red numbers were ripe for the taking in the morning group on Thursday at the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship as Tiger Woods finds himself atop the leaderboard after an impressive first round at TPC Boston in Norton, MA.
Tiger fired an opening round 64 to put him 7-under for the tournament, currently tied with Jeff Overton. Woods had eight birdies and just one bogey on his card today, getting started with five straight birdies on his first five holes of his round.
Aussie John Senden and South African Louis Oosthuizen are currently tied for third place at 5-under par, while Ian Poulter, Luke Donald, Dustin Johnson and two others finished with 4-under 67's on Thursday.
Tacoma native Ryan Moore is making a charge, currently at 5-under after eight holes on the day. As for Gig Harbor native Kyle Stanley, he is part of the afternoon group and currently is 1-over for his round after six holes.
