According to a report from the Seattle News Tribune's Eric Williams, the Seattle Seahawks have named Bobby Wagner the starting middle linebacker, though could possibly change over the next few weeks.
After trading away Barrett Rudd, that left Wagner as one of the only viable options at MLB. Even though Wagner has been named the starter, head coach Pete Carroll was quick to note that there remains some concern with it comes to that position:
"We're a little concerned about that," Carroll said. "At the linebacker spot right now there's a number of guys who are not practicing. We're very young and very athletic, but it's not settled yet, the backup spots."
There currently are a few other names on the Seahawks roster being tossed around as potential MLB's, including Heath Farwell and K.J. Wright. Farwell has been practicing with the second unit at MLB, while Wright has more flexibility to play multiple positions.
