2012 Olympics: Team USA Basketball Cruises To Blowout Win Over Nigeria

The United States improved to 3-0 in Pool A play on Thursday evening, knocking off an overwhelmed Nigeria team by a score of 156-73. The US led 49-20 after one quarter and outscored Nigeria 78-28 in the second half.

Carmelo Anthony led all scorers and hit 10 of his 12 attempts from behind the arc. Kevin Durant continued to start and played well, hitting numerous shots in the first half. He rested for most of the second half once the game got out of hand.

As a team the US dished out 41 assists and hit 29 threes. Kevin Love, who hails from the Seattle area, had a great game overall and continued to protect the defensive glass.
