Mariners vs. Rays: Felix Hernandez Starts Wednesday Matinee

The Seattle Mariners are riding high after a walk-off victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night. With the series finale looming on Wednesday afternoon, Felix Hernandez will take the mound for the M's.

King Felix has been terrific lately, going 1-0 in his last three starts with a 2.35 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 23 innings. He has pitched very well against Tampa throughout his career, going 3-2 with a 2.28 ERA and more than a strikeout-per-inning.

The Rays will hand the ball to former top-prospect Jeremy Hellickson. He has absolutely dominated the Mariners in his career; in 29.1 innings of work, Hellickson is 3-0 with a 0.92 ERA.

First pitch from Safeco Field is scheduled for 12:40 p.m. PT. If recent history is any indication, we should be in for a terrific pitchers' duel.
