PGA Championship Leaderboard Update: Tiger Woods Struggles, Round 3 Suspended Due To Weather

Round 3 of the 2012 PGA Championship has been suspended due to thunderstorms, but prior to that there was some major movement on the leaderboard. Tiger Woods had opened the day tied for the lead with Vijay Singh and Carl Pettersson, but as the leaders finished up the front nine only Singh was still in front.

Singh was 2-under through seven holes, good for 6-under overall and a share of the lead. Rory McIlroy shared it with him, having shot 4-under through nine to arrive at 6-under in total. Pettersson was hanging on, shooting even par through eight and sitting in fourth place. It was Tiger who struggled the most, picking up bogeys on holes four, five and seven to slide to a tie for 11th place at 1-under overall.

That was where things stood when play was suspended, and it is unclear whether play will resume on Saturday or the conclusion of Round 3 will have to wait until Sunday. In either case, tournament victory is still wide open with a lot of golf left to play. For a live leaderboard, visit Golf.com.
