At the end of Friday's second round at the 2012 PGA Championship in South Carolina, Tiger Woods is right where he wanted to be: in first place. Woods only shot a 1-under for the day on Friday, but that was good enough for him to earn a share of the lead heading into the weekend's championship rounds.
Woods now sits at 4-under in the tournament. He joins Carl Pettersson, who entered the day at 6-under and had a shaky 2-over round on Friday. Also atop the leaderboard at 4-under is Woods' old friend Vijay Singh, whose 3-under was one of the best rounds of the day.
Rory McIlroy struggled with a 3-over and now sits in a tie for fifth place at a cumulative 2-under. The competition will only get tighter over the next two days.
