The Coke Zero 400 took place on Saturday night under the lights at Daytona International Speedway. The latest race in the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series appeared to be a great chance for Greg Biffle to regain some ground in the standings. Biffle was in the hunt for the checkered flag in the very last lap when he and Matt Kenseth were passed by eventual winner Tony Stewart. Biffle attempted to move down but unexpectedly found Kevin Harvick in the bottom slot, who had been shoved by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Joey Logano.
The ensuing wreck caused the final standings to get skewed and Biffle wound up finishing in 21st place. Things weren't all bad for Washingtonians, as Kasey Kahne managed to finish in seventh place and hopefully gain some ground in the Sprint Cup standings.
